Oh No, Not Again!

The First (and last) thoughts of Agrajag's incarnation as a bowl of Petunias.
You may have noticed that I'm a bit of a science fiction fan. One of the books that cemented that love of all things futuristic and spacey is Douglas Adams' amazing book 'The Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy.' I loved all the silly things going on and the added on descriptions of totally random, seemingly unrelated stuff scattered throughout.

This is my design in tribute to that masterpiece. Its based on the scene where Arthur manages to call a whale and a bowl of petunias into existence miles above an abandoned planet. These are the thoughts of the flowers as they begin their descent into oblivion. If you don't know what's going on here, just go and read a copy. You will not be wasting your time I promise!

Renew!

Enter the Carousel. This is the time of Renewal.
Its another one inspired by a classic sci-fi film. This time its Logan's Run. There were some great sci-fi films made way back in the 70s and they all seem to have soundtracks created by one man and a synthesizer. I've never quite figured out how that tradition started but I'm kind of glad it did. The bizarre, almost music stuff, really adds to the futuristic feeling in some movies and Logan's Run definitely counts as one of those.

The carousel is the ceremony where the people who have reached 30 are sent off to their deaths. And the rest of the crowd cheer them on their way as they float up and explode. How nice!

Rockatansky Fuel Haulage

Max will always get your fuel there on time.
A little Mad Max themed doodle for you all this time. Max Rockatansky has to be one of the most unusual names for any movie hero. Thank goodness they shortened it to Mad Max for the title or the posters would have looked terrible.

The fortified truck from the Road Warrior is a pretty iconic vehicle and I thought you would probably want to use it more than once (if it hadn't been destroyed by the humungus). Safe and secure fuel deliveries would have made Max a fortune, if he only could have got that first one right.

Available on posters, prints, tees and iphone cases at Redbubble and Society6. Find all the details on the Doodle Dojo Store.
